Walking with children
There are many walks on the valley floor that are accessible with pushchairs and one of these leads to the village of Soraga. The approximately 4 km route runs in a southerly direction on a section of the tarmacked cycle path. The outbound section descends slightly and takes around one hour. Walk through the woods and across the meadows surrounded by nature at its best. You may even be lucky enough to come across small woodland animals such as squirrels, badgers and sometimes an extremely timid fox at nightfall.
From Pozza di Fassa to Vigo
This panoramic walk alternates between slight inclines and flat sections and includes designated rest areas with tables and benches in the most scenic parts of the route, overlooking the Costabella and the Vallaccia Group. The approximately 1 km route is mostly shaded. From Pozza di Fassa the route heads to Troi de Vich. It is a short and easy walk for the whole family.
From Pozza di Fassa to the Malga Crocifisso
You will set out from Pozza di Fassa and cross the residential area of Meida until you reach the small bridge over the Rif de Sèn Nicolò stream. A non-tarmacked route leads uphill slightly on the right, becoming steeper as you gradually climb up. The route then levels out and joins the tarmacked road to the San Nicolò Valley, which will lead you quickly back to Pozza di Fassa. The trail is approximately 5 km-long and can be walked in around two hours. Suitable for families with older children.
